Some Sounds with which I'm playing

There are many sound types in use on computers. I use three types,

  1. Windows (.wav)
  2. Windows MIDI (.mid)
  3. Real Audio (.ra,.ram,.rm)

Each of these types have their own uses, advantages, and disadvantages, and it is always a trade-off of size to quality. The MIDI files are sequencer files, and require a soundcard capable of playing a MIDI device (any decent one will); the wav files play with any number of readers, windows gives you media player; and the Real Audio are compressed for use on the Internet and a free player can be downloaded from Real Audio get_rp5(1).gif (7891 bytes)
