Some Sounds with which I'm playing
There are many sound types in use on computers. I use three types,
- Windows (.wav)
- Windows MIDI (.mid)
- Real Audio (.ra,.ram,.rm)
Each of these types have their own uses, advantages, and disadvantages, and it is
always a trade-off of size to quality. The MIDI files are sequencer files, and require a
soundcard capable of playing a MIDI device (any decent one will); the wav files play with
any number of readers, windows gives you media player; and the Real Audio are compressed
for use on the Internet and a free player can be downloaded from Real Audio

If you'd like to give this a try, click on any appropriate one below:
- Amazing Grace In tribute to Georgia Turner Bird, my
grandmother, who served as the pianist of the Metter, Georgia, Methodist Church for 50
years. A cook of some renound, her favorite cake was made by singing a verse of this song
between the addition of each egg to the batter. This is a MIDI (.mid) file. Grandmother
Bird is rolling in her grave.
- The Godfather A ditty that describes how I am, and what it's
all about. A Windows (.wav) file.
- The Shadow Who knows what evil lurks... (Real
Audio G2)
- Chantilly Lace The Big Bopper still lives in
my mind. (Real Audio G2)
